A pair of towns in Central Illinois which are home to Illinois State University and Illinois Wesleyan University as well as State Farm, Country Companies, a Mitsubishi plant and Beer Nuts.

In addition to the college students (who make up about 1/5 of the population), the population ranges from deep-south style trailer-trash to affluent Chicago suburb wannabes.

Having grown up there, it fits in to the category of being a good place to raise kids, but a lousy place to be a kid growing up.
