Picking your nose (idea)

This came to my mind while I was walking and observed the following:

A guy was picking his nose with his pinky. He had at least the first section of his pinky up his nose. This was in broad daylight!

What is the etiquette for picking ones nose?

• Should one cover the area of action with a cupped hand?
• Should one cover a finger with a tissue and then go for the bugger?
• Should one use a hankerchief or a tissue and blow one's nose and then do a slight pick at the end of the blow?
• Should one just wait until one is in the bathroom and then attack the bugger with a vengeance?

There are many techniques out there...some more discreet than others...

It's a natural thing...i.e. to have dirt trapped in the nosehairs so why shouldn't picking ones nose be a natural act?
