Dunblane is a small, picturesque Cathedral town just outside Stirling, in Scotland's central belt. In 1996 it achieved eternal notoriety when Thomas Hamilton walked into Dunblane primary school and shot and killed 16 children and their teacher.

In the interests of Dunblane's tourist board, it is an absolutely charming little town, close to the historic city of Stirling, with a pocket Cathedral (which technically, makes it a very tiny city). It is well worth a visit if you are in the area.
