Uses his outer shell to disguise his dull personality as well as himself. Reluctant to leave his outer shell so he can transform into an interplanetary star cruiser, armed with particle beam cannon. Within shell, armed with lightning whip and thunderbolt laser pistol.

Transformers Tech Specs
Cloudburst was the second Autobot Pretender to be space-based, the other being Landmine. His vehicle mode looked pretty much like any other minimalist Pretender jet, but the lack of existing "star cruiser" standards meant that they could be a little more flexible without making their toy buyers ask, "What the heck is this supposed to be?"
In the Japanese "Transformers: Masterforce" cartoon, Cloudburst was renamed Phoenix.
