Known for being the
wife of Theobold
Wolfe Tone (founder of the
Society of United Irish Men). Born in 1768, in
Dublin,
Ireland. She met, eloped with and married Tone at around the age of 15. She bore him two children and remained his faithful wife til his death in 1798.
Her second marriage was to Thomas Wilson in 1816 in Paris.
They later lived in Washington, DC and she died there in 1849.
