Digital One is a consortium between GWR Group and telecommunications firm NTL, which operates the national commercial digital radio multiplex in the UK.

Along with the BBC, they operate the only national multiplex, and so this brings with it a responsibility to promote digital radio tuners, which they do with radio campaigns, and through retailers.

The ten stations initially carried on the Digital One multiplex (222.1MHz, channel 11D) are:

  • Virgin Radio - Classic tracks and today's best music
  • Classic FM - The world's most popular classical music station
  • talkSPORT - Sport, news and views
  • Planet Rock - the rock specialist, playing uncompromising classic rock from the 60s, 70s and 80s
  • Core - fresh hits for the UK. The best of chart and club anthems
  • Life - playing contemporary music for individual, confident, aspirational adults
  • Oneword - the world's first national commercial plays, books and comedy service
  • Bloomberg Radio - 24 hour city, business and personal financial channel
  • ITN - delivering unmissable news, money, sport, weather, travel and information
  • Primetime Radio - an easy listening station, playing melodic hits from the last six decades
Life and Bloomberg Radio are exclusive to Digital Radio, all other channels listed can also be recieved on the Sky Digital satellite system. Virgin, Classic FM and talkSPORT are also available on analogue radio.
