Types of Everything2 Users (idea)

As in Players Who Suit Muds, there exist four types of users on Everything 2. Realize that this does not necessarly mean that everyone is a member of one of these types, but rather that everyone is a combination of these basic archetypes.

• XP Whore: XP! XP! level! POWER!
• XP Martyr: Node facts, node poetry, node useful things, node opinions without care if they get downvoted or cooled. Motto: WORSHIP THE DATABASE!
• the Chatter: This person typicaly spends his or her time in the Chatbox nodelet. Rarely creating a node, and those are, tend to be of a more social nature.
• the Downvoter: downvotes things just to make other people upset. Examples of this can be seen at I hate you drive-by down-voters!, Fuck systematic downvoters, and Who downvotes a daylog, honestly? nodes. By no means is everyone who downvotes a node this type of user, but rather those who downvote in hopes of seeing someone complain or whine about it.

• XP Whores will cause XP Martyrs to work harder.
• Downvoters have a negative affect upon XP Whores.
• Chatters typicaly won't bother much what happens with XP Whores, but become slightly annoyed at the self promotion.
• XP Martyrs are impervious to the Downvoter, they know it may get downvoted, but realy don't care. Its for the good of the node.
• There is little interaction between XP Martyrs and Chatters.
• The Downvoter also has a slight negative impact upon Chatters on those nodes that they do hold dear to their heart.
• Very little can touch the Downvoter because of the anonymous nature of the Voting/Experience System with respect to votes.
