あかんべ

A bit of Japanese body language, meant to indicate defiance, akanbe consists of pulling down one lower eyelid, exposing its red inner surface (akai means "red" in Japanese), while sticking out one's tongue. Usually, the gesture is accompanied by saying "Beeeh-dah", a nonsense sound that corresponds in meaning to a Bronx cheer.
