Russian journalist and author. Born 1892, died 1939.

A futurist associated with the LEF and Proletkult, Tretyakov created his own semi-documentary genre, "factography", and produced a series of agitational dramas, such as Roar, China! (1926). He also wrote a number of theoretical articles and essays on writing.

Tretyakov's unique style won him a number of admirers, including Bertolt Brecht, who called Tretyakov his "teacher".
