Please tell me we can now stop dropping bombs on residential neighbourhoods, leaving children orphaned and armless, or dead.

Please tell me that the post-war rebuilding effort will actually be handled effectively and successfully.

Please tell me that Iraq will not be left to rot in six months the way Afghanistan has been.

Please tell me that more people don't have to die to keep the price of oil high.

Please tell me it's over.
