(1980) horror movie, dir. Peter Medak. Stars George C. Scott as John Russell, a composer and professor who moves into a massive old house, by himself, after witnessing his wife and child's accidental death (by a truck, no less). The house is haunted by something, it seems, and Russell goes as far to bring in a medium to communicate with the spirit. Unfortunately for most involved, the entity is a child who has some serious issues with a person whose identity isn't known until the end. Scared the foo out of me.

It was Patton-lite.
