No doubt just a clever product devised by the marketroids at Smirnoff to be able to jump in and join the burgeoning alco-pop market, this bubbly concoction is actually quite refreshing, not to mention intoxicating.

Smirnoff Mule comes in small (275 ml) long neck bottles and is totally wrapped by a copper colored plastic sheath. The taste is distinct and the closest thing I can think of is a Bartles and Jaymes wine cooler with a slight lime and Pepsi like flavor. The label promises that it has one and a half shots of Smirnoff Vodka and that the flavors are that of lime and ginger. This got me to thinking that this is nothing more than a simple mixture of 7-UP (which is lime flavored), Pepsi (which is quite gingery sweet), and some Smirnoff Vodka. I am sure there is also a Top-Seekrut ingredient that they add to further improve the taste but my experimentation with my simple recipe has indicated that I can fool 4 out of 5 people, especially if you put it in the original container.

To make your homemade mule, use one part regular Pepsi cola, to three parts 7-UP and add one half part Smirnoff Vodka. Enjoy!
