Blenorrhea is the medical term for excessive discharge of mucus, sometimes a purulent discharge.

This usually happens in the expected areas - but not always. The body may experience blenorrhea from the genitals, which is sometimes, but not always, caused by gonorrhea. This abnormally free secretion may impede a woman's ability to get pregnant.
