A part in the front suspension of a vehicle, Usually attached to the strut, the lower control arm(via the ball joint), and the tie rod. Also usually contains the wheel bearing. It is so named because it is what the tie rod attaches to in order to to pivot the wheel on the ball joint, thus making steering possible.
