There used to be a partially completed ASCII art map of the US here that I was inordinately proud of because I'd spent about 4 hours linking each individual character to a node which was appropriate for that geographic point, but then I was informed that it would break most browsers because it was too large. I guess its good that I was tipped off before I spent another 15 hours on something that wouldn't have come off anyway :-(
