Bowdoin College's radio station. The 300
watt transmitter is located on top of Coles Tower in Brunswick,
ME. This is the second tallest building in
Maine at the time of this writing.
The
DJs are mostly Bowdoin College students, although there are some staff and community members also on the air. The format is standard for
college radio. Changes in
music genre are frequent, a style known as
freeform. Since the college supports the station, there are no ads, but every hour there is supposed to be at least one
public service announcement.
Although the station is only on the air from approximately 6am to 1am, and can only be heard in an couple of towns near Brunswick (again, as of this writing), it is worth a listen if you're in the area.
