To take a
snapshot picture of all or a region of your
computer screen and then save that image to a
file. This is done with either a third-party software application or may be included in the
operating system. Some things can't be captured as easily on some
video cards, such as
animation playback windows (such as
DVD players) or
game screens.
To take a screen capture in Microsoft Windows, just hit the Print Screen key, then load Microsoft Paint, paste the image, and then save it.
