there is a presence here
if only in the wind and
the way that the light 
can't touch your hair or
my eyes, darkened, i was..

               i felt pain that was not mine
               and threw it in the face of 
               lies, the truth is so far now..

serious pursed lips split open when
challenged and i can make them bleed for me

i will smash the silence that overwhelms

          you can't break away now because
