This piece, including the title, was constructed entirely out of fortunes from fortune cookies collected over the course of about 3 years. My only input was ordering them and adding punctuation for fluidity. I didn't know why I was saving them, there were a lot of objects I sentimentalized back then. I wasn't even writing poetry when I'd started shoeboxing them and I certainly never knew they would turn into something like this. But I'm glad they became realized for such a purpose.
