The Cirque also does not use any live animals. The troupe depends entirely on originality, creativity, human coordination, skill and strength to amaze their audiences. This creativity is not just in the performers, but in the musicians, set and costume designers as well. One of their shows in Las Vegas actually involves swimming pools that can be moved onto and off of the stage using hydraulics!

I had a 24-hour stint in Las Vegas this year, and while gambling, drinking and shopping could not hold my attention for more than an hour or so, the Cique du Soleil was stunning. It's a show I'll never forget.

By the way, "Curque du Soleil" means "Circus of the Sun".
