Meatjoy is the title of a notorious performance art piece by Carolee
Schneemann. She performed it first in 1963 in New York; later it was filmed in New York, Paris, and other cities around the world.
Basically, she and some other people rolled around naked in a huge pile of raw meat; this ecstatic ritual celebration of flesh also involved a lot of wet paint and plastic wrap.
Meatjoy is also the name of an 80's punk band from Austin, Texas.
