Series of 7" vinyl compilations released by Minneapolis-based noise rock label Amphetamine Reptile. Volumes 2 and 9 were 2x7" format. The compilations were long-running and quite diverse: although a number of bands stuck to AmRep's characteristic sludy and abrasive formula, there was also garage rock (Mudhoney, Thee Mighty Caesars), indie (Superchunk, Jawbox), and more experimental sounds (Boredoms, Brainiac). The title is derived from the White Panther Manifesto by John Sinclair (1968), which presented a ten-point platform including: "Total assault on the culture by any means necessary, including rock n' roll, dope and fucking in the streets."
