Ben Affleck directing a movie?? A movie that got a B+ rating from critics (http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809700023/info)?? How come I've never heard of Gone Baby Gone? I might actually want to see this one.
Rendition gets a mediocre C (http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809794083/info) - so much for bringing down the Bush regime through film, at least with this film.
Ang Lee directs an NC-17 film Lust, Caution, who woulda thought? It only got a B- though (http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809779143/info), guess it's not making my list.
There's an interesting article about the abuses of prison labor at http://www.infoshop.org/inews/article.php?story=20071018125730547. Especially timely since next month, we'll be voting on a proposed amendment to my state constitution to allow this (http://vote.wa.gov/Elections/Measure2007.aspx?a=8212&c=6).

It seems Comcast is now falsifying network traffic and forcing certain connections (like BitTorrent) to terminate (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071019/ap_on_hi_te/comcast_data_discrimination). That's a bit scary since I use Comcast - even though I don't use file sharing programs, I'd hate to see what's at the end of the road if this behavior continues.
