King of Kent 512-??
Octa was the son of Aesc, son of Hengist who came to rule the people of Kent once his father died in the year 512. Of his reign the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle is entirely silent.
It is known that he was followed by his son Eormenric but no record has been made of when the one succeeded the other.
