Γογγες

The god of the river Ganges in India, and the son of Indus and the nymph Calauria. One day, while drunk, he unwittingly coupled with his mother. When he came to his senses, he threw himself in despair into the river which had hitherto been called Chliarus, and which was henceforth known as Ganges.
