Αιγυπιος

The son of Antheus and Boulis. His mistress was a widow named Timandra whose son, Neophron, was consumed with jealousy and arranged for Aegypius to spend the night with his own mother under the impression that he was with Timandra. When Boulis realized the crime which her son had committed she wanted to tear his eyes out, but Zeus took pity on the family and changed them into birds. Aegypius and Neophron became vultures, Boulis a diver - a bird which traditionally eats only the eyes of its prey, and Timandra became a tit.
