when do conversations create enough of a bond that 

acquaintance becomes friend 

 

It is not simply a number, because I have talked to the counterperson at 

my local gas station hundreds of times

yet they remain simply: person behind counter 

 

Mathematicians might say it is about the nature of the conversations

a qualitative measure

not quantiative
