The brand name for
ramen sold in bags by the
Nissin Foods company in the United States. After the tremendous success in 1972 of
Top Ramen, the first
instant noodles sold in America, the company began to sell
Cup O' Noodles in 1973 and then packaged the product in bags in 1976 under the name Oodles of Noodles. After disappearing from the market for a while, the Oodles of Noodles brand was reintroduced throughout the United States in 2000.
