Would that
Larry Niven could flesh out his
character and
plot development to the same degree as the technicalities of a ring shaped world. Okay, I admit, it is
a very cool idea, and I loved that part of the book. But
Jesus, has he ever met a real
human? Does he have any concept of how they might talk or
interact with each other? Does he really think women, even outer space women, are flawlessly beautiful and want to take off their clothes and
skronk every guy who comes along?
I could buy the whole ring world thing fine. It was the dialogue that strained my suspension of disbelief.
It's hard to be a female science fiction fan sometimes.
