The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is a Jewish-identified public advocacy group, started in 1913.

The ADL's mandate is to fight anti-semitism and bigotry in general. As such, the ADL has moved over its history from a focus mainly on countering anti-semitism to a broader mission and prides itself as a leading U.S. (and international) watchdog on issues of anti-semitism, bigotry, racism, extremism, countering terrorism, the deterrence (and definition) of hate crimes, Israel-U.S. relations, religious liberty, and educational outreach efforts related to its mission(s).

Their website appears at www.adl.org and provides further background on actions, programs and positions from the perspective of the ADL itself.
