Is a
natural lake in
Grand Teton National Park that has
outlets that lead
down both sides of
the great divide, the
water ends up in either the
Pacific or the
Atlantic Ocean according to the outlet from the lake it left.
It is
possible to
drive your
car to the edge of the lake, despite the fact that the
parks service believes that you need
four wheel drive to not get
stuck on the road which is more of a dirt highway after the first small climb.
The
lake is really
beautiful in the
mornings and
evenings, there is a really nice
view of
Mount Moran from the far edge of the lake (
opposite Mount Moran), and the
waterfowl are
enjoyable to
photograph with a long
lens and
image stabilization (the
ground is usually a bit mushy on the shore and it doesn't support
tripods with long lenses well).
