Roald Dahl also hosted a half-hour television program in 1961. It was company with shows like the Twilight Zone, One Step Beyond, Inner Sanctum, Outer Limits, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. {All the best shows besides Star Trek, at that time.}) It featured many of his macabre stories, (Which can be found also, in the anthology, Someone Like You) called: Way Out.

He would appear onscreen menancingly. And, after a premliminary introduction, he would then warn us, with cigarette in hand, that what we were about to see was: "...way out!..."

The story, "Lamb to the Slaughter" was one of the tele-plays on Hitchcock's show.
