Douglas Niles is a fantasy writer, whose name can be attributed to a good deal of the dragonlance books. His most famous work, (which I enjoyed reading the most) was "Breach in the Watershed", part of the three book watershed series.

The other books in this series were "Darkenheight", and "The War of Three Waters", which finished the series (and were also quite entertaining). If you've enjoyed books by Terry Goodkind, or Robert Jordan, then you might enjoy Douglas Niles' works as well.

What the hell, you only live once. If you do read these books, then at least you'll be able to say "Hey, I read some damn good books in my life". At which point you would die in a fantastically violent manner.
