A
program (usually
implemented in
Perl) which uses
zephyr as a communication utility. By common
convention, zbots listen to
ztoys,bot name,* and
message,PERSONAL,%me%, although some bots listen to other zephyr classes to learn.
The original zbot was toby. toby's code was merged into clyde's, who was the first zbot to have its own Kerberos principal. clyde uses Markov chains gathered by listening on zephyr to choose words; "he" also has a set of questions that he knows how to answer. clyde has forked into several zbots named "clyde" which live in non-overlapping zephyr realms.
Other zephyr bots include Alain (a learning relational database) and josephine.
