There are several projects online designed to further the search to see whether there is actual inteligence on this planet.
One of them is at http://totl.net/STI/ and actually lets you upload data to your brain's 9/10 unused space and download it back on to their server by you clicking 'randomly' on a symbol.
Incidently, the SETI guys thought that it was great.
