The original Be Book (the one you got when you bought a BeBox) was a large white 3-ring binder containing a hardcopy of the BeOS API documentation.
It was later published by O'Reilly in two volumes: Be Developer's Guide (1997) and Be Advanced Topics (1998) (they don't have animals on their covers, though).
