A female folksinger in the same vein as Ani Difranco. Jess is based in Boston, and for a while was releasing albums herself at shows and similar. However, now she has been picked up by Rykodisk. This has affected her sound, and she now comes across as a slightly more country music version of Sheryl Crow.
