A portable strap-on MIDI controller with a 37-note velocity & aftertouch sensitive keyboard. Released in the mid-80s.

In addition to the keyboard, the KX5 features a ribbon controller for pitch and modulation, plus knobs for portamento, sustain and unison. Patch change buttons (for up to 64 switchable sounds) are also available.
The unit can control 2 MIDI channels simultaneously, and it features a breath controller input.

Jean-Michel Jarre had a customized model made for his 1986 concert in Lyon.
