The Six-Trak was a
predecessor to the
superior Multi-Trak model. They are very much alike, and both use the
CEM 3394 chip for
sound generating. Six-Trak's differences include a smaller non-
velocity sensitive keyboard, less
sequencer memory, missing
tape interface and no
individual timbre outputs.
The ST was said to be the first multitimbral
MIDI synth to respond to
multiple MIDI channels. It was sold with its
software (to be used on a
Commodore 64) and the
DrumTraks drum machine as a complete MIDI
system.
