Hi everybody – I hope you’re doing good! Last night we had trick or treat at my dad’s house and I got lots of candy. I got dressed up as a court jester from medieval England. Tomorrow is International Children’s Day at my school and we have to dress up as somebody from another country and another time and tell something about them. I’m going to tell about the court jester.

I wrote another poem the other day. I wrote it because I was angry with my friends and I was walking around the playground. I looked behind me and I saw a wire with pigeons on it. They were shoulder to shoulder and wing to wing and took up the whole thing.

Then there was a kind of, well, it felt like a click. I felt so wonderful after that. I wasn’t angry anymore.

It’s called The Pigeon Wire. I hope you like it.

The Pigeon Wire

Behind the house I can see
The pigeons on the pigeon wire
All lined up, just for me
The pigeons on the pigeon wire

Where all the pigeons come to meet
The pigeons on the pigeon wire
A woman throws out crumbs and seeds
The pigeons on the pigeon wire

Where any pigeons transforms to doves
The pigeons on the pigeon wire
Where pigeons find their pigeon loves
The pigeons on the pigeon wire

They fly away into the street
The pigeons on the pigeon wire
A sight so common yet so sweet
The pigeons on the pigeon wire

Happy Halloween!!!

Thanks for all the birthday greetings!

Bye!
