Dr. Erika Fuchs, born December 7, 1906 as Erika Petri in Mecklenburg (Germany) was primarily responsible for translation of all Disney Comics for the German distributor (Ehapa) from the first German Micky Maus 1951 up until 1976 (afterwards only "with restrictions"). Currently she is preparing a complete edition of Barks' works in German.

Through her ingenious style of language, full of allusions to both German and international history and classical works (like those of Goethe or Schiller), earned her place in the Donaldist's Hall of Fame right next to Carl Barks and Don Rosa.
