A county in south west England - the penultimate one, the one that stops Cornwall from being an island. Beautiful place it is too, with the cathedral city of Exeter (one of the few cities out there that would rather be a village - Carlisle is another one), the fabulous, wonderful and scary Dartmoor, some amazing pubs (there's a lovely one in North Bovey, and the Double Locks some way outside of Exeter is marvellous and does damn fine stick toffee pudding), and the friendly, if slightly concretey Plymouth.
Devon is also responsible for the infamous Devon cream tea.
