Originally a small village just outside of Milano (or Milan you pick the spelling), it has been swallowed by the city building explosion in the 50s and the 60s.
Currently it is fairly ugly, although there is at least one intersting place, that is the Rimembranze di Lambrate, a little circular plaza where the tram turns around.

One closeby interesting area is Cittá Studi, where two universities are located.

Lambrate lent its name to the Lambretta, the arch-enemy of the Vespa.
