A word coined by
Fletch to describe any large American
sedan. Many models by
Oldsmobile,
Buick,
Chevrolet,
Lincoln,
Chrysler, and
Ford in the 60s-80s were virtually indistinguishable. 'Oldsmobuick' is the useful
generic term for this type of vehicle. In the 90s, these sedans became less boxy, but it is still difficult to tell one manufacturer's model from the other. Thus the term 'Oldsmobuick' still applies.
Most police cars and rental cars are Oldsmobuicks.
