In current Internet parlance, "geeksta rap" as a term has been replaced by "nerdcore hiphop", a term coined by MC Frontalot and adopted by MC Chris, MC Hawking, and their contemporaries. The term "nerdcore hiphop" originated as a song title by MC Frontalot in 1999.
