The set is the basic
object of set theory,
which can be considered the underlying
foundation of
mathematics. Not much
can be said about sets, other than that
they may or may not contain
elements, and that sets can be forms using certain
set theoretic
operations such as
union and
intersection.
One highlight of set theory is dealing
with the celebrated Russell's Paradox.
