Chocolate comes from cocoa bean, which grew on the trees in Central America, starting probably about 100 million years ago. Cocoa trees can only live in hot, rainy places near the Equator. The first people know to have made chocolate, were mixed ground cocoa seeds with various seasonings to make a spicy, frothy drink.
Even though chocolate is regularly eaten for pleasure, there are potentially many health effects, both negative or positive. Cocoa or dark chocolate may possible effects under basic research include anticancer, brain stimulator, cough prevention and antidiarrhoeal.
The main types of chocolate are white chocolate, milk chocolate, semisweet, etc..

White chocolate: chocolate made with cocoa butter, sugar, milk, emulsifier, vanilla and sometimes other flavorings. It does not contain any non-fat ingredients from the cacao
bean and has therefore an off-white color.

Dark chocolate: sweetened chocolate with high content of cocoa solids and or very little milk, it may contain up to 12% milk solids. Dark chocolate can either be sweet,semisweet, bittersweet or unsweetened.

Sweet dark chocolate: Similar to semisweet chocolate, it is not always possible to distinguish between the flavor of sweet and semisweet chocolate. Contain often 35-45% cocoa solids.

Unsweetened chocolate: The flavor is not good, so it is not suitable for eating. It contain almost 100% cocoa solids, about half of it might be fat(cocoa butter).
