A growing
city of 74000 citizens on the banks of the
Manawatu River in the lower
North Island of
New Zealand. Known as the
Knowledge City, and the home to
Massey University,
UCOL, the
International Pacific College the
adidas Institute of Rugby and numerous research institutes. The
city is flat, and is ideal for cycling.
Sadly, the city is lacking in the local attractions department, the wind farm on the Tararua Ranges and Pork Chop Hill. The weather is typically overcast, windy, or rainy.
