Malaysia's capital city, Kuala Lumpur is also the economic centre and biggest city thereof, with a population of nearly two million people of varied ethnic origins.

The name "Kuala Lumpur", literally translated from Malay means something like "Muddy Place". The city was founded near where tin mining was carried out at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers.

Also, the place where much of the movie Entrapment (1999) was shot. The featured building in this movie was, by the way, the Petronas Towers, which are currently the tallest building in the world.
