This is a common thing to see, especially in cartoons. IE, "Bugs Bunny", "Babs Bunny", "Buster Bunny" (no relation), "Minerva Mink", "Hamton J Pig", "Mickey Mouse", etc. This of course leads to confusion when several critters of the same species get together. There's no way to differentiate between Mr. Bunny and Mr. Bunny.

It also leads to overdone jokes, like the above "Babs and Buster Bunny: No relation" that is way overused on Tiny Toon Adventures.
